It is so easy now a days transacting online. Just a click of mouse and a press of a few keys on the keyboard you can do transactions of any magnitude you want to. But what might be at stake is the security. This is where a PCI compliance comes into place. Companies spend a fortune in making all transactions secure and compliant. These are followed by all Credit Card Providers like Master Card, Visa and American Express (who formulated the PCI Compliance). Instead of credit card details being sent over the Internet, some generic number is sent i.e., each credit card account is given a token generated everytime which is sent over the net instead. Even if the Token is stolen, it is of no use to the hacker. So it is safe, secure and compliant. The trust level of the customers is increased and no tension of losing your credit card sensitive information.
