Is the worst over yet?

The retail sector has been the worst affected in this economic recession. Even if you are in the US or Latin America, Europe or even in the Asian region all have been badly battered by the financial crisis. Well with all the bailout money and takeovers it had been thought that the worst is over. But if the present condition of the retail industry world over is taken into consideration then the situation is still alarmingly bad. Why hasn’t the retail sector been able to convert the footfalls that has been picking up? Well the apart from the former reason I see another dimension to this problem. There has been no promotional activity picking up at the malls. Last week I visited my neighborhood mall, well all I saw was still the graveyard style outlook of the retailers. All this has to change if the retailers want a swing in their fortunes.
