Previously, we have discussed about marketing as a whole, its benefits and the Customer mindsets about marketing and how marketers are successful in just marketing the way Customers want them to be. There are various types of marketing that can be possibly discussed on this article, but I wanted to give a brief write up on relationship marketing as I believe that it is a wonderful strategy as it both brings the customers closer to the product and the company which in turn, for obvious reasons, will bring in more sale of the company's products and thereby, increasing the revenue of the company along with the reputation of the company's products and the company itself.
Here is how relationship marketing really works: The Company actively keeps the customer informed and engaged, if necessary, on their brand promotion events. Inviting the customers and not just the industry experts will bring in more open-minded conversations and feedback on the brand right from the customers which other customers will trust and thereby creating a chain of trusts on the brand - which is the most important factor in brand promotions. Relationship Marketing is very different from other forms of Marketing for the fact that it preserves the customer relationships for long term and customers, in general do not leave brands after they have stick to it for a term longer than their usual terms. So, the natural "relationship" between the company and the customer is maintained which is the whole point of this discussion.
Now, with the advent of Internet and Web 2.0 to be specific, Relationship Marketing has been taken to its next level. Customers can be reached quite easily, as all it takes is some clicks on the computer and customers are there to read what you have in store for them. But this is OK for most technologically inclined companies. Companies in sectors like Healthcare which do not have a technological inclination use Relationship Marketing services from by popular service providers. These people are technologically so advanced that they employ the latest(read cloud services) in technology to help their clients achieve relationship marketing using technology.
Keeping in touch with your customers and building a relationship of sorts can really attach them to your brand.
